Messi had a lackluster performance in Argentina’s opening game against Saudi Arabia in Fifa World cup 2022 in Qatar but came back with a bang in his second game. Argentina’s loss was one of the biggest upsets we have seen in the world cup. Harry Kane, Mbappe had strong starts and Lewandowski and Garreth Bale so, so. Benzema, the Ballon Dor winner, is out with injury and Ronaldo is struggling. We’re just getting started and everyone’s eyes are on the soccer superstars.

Even though Norway did not make it to the world cup, the new King in town is Erling Haaland. After a stellar couple seasons in Europe, he joined Manchester City in 2022. Since then, Haaland has been scorching hot; scoring back to back hat-tricks, incredibly athletic goals. He has simply been unstoppable in the premier league. He is very young still and has the potential to be the greatest player ever with his superior athletic build, speed and skills. We will have to wait at least two more years to potentially watch him score in the European Cup.
